Larry David repeats history – the Larry David way – with Larry’s Life and the Pursuit of Unhappiness: An American History Almost.
The limited series was announced as David’s curb The follow-up at HBO was previously described as “Curb your enthusiasm In Costumes” from co-creators David (who also stars in the new comedy series) and Jeff Schiffer.
Not much is known about what exactly that means, until now.
On Thursday, HBO dropped a full trailer for the series (below), which reunites it once again curb Higher Ground is executive produced by the David and Schiffer duo of Barack and Michelle Obama, along with Ethan Lewis and Vinny Malhotra.
The seven-episode series will premiere on Friday, June 26 at 9pm on HBO and HBO Max, with new episodes released weekly until the finale on August 7.
“This is a declaration of common sense!” David blows his nose at one point in the trailer, which is a perfect summation of what to expect as David begins to revisit history. Here’s the tagline: “Those who don’t know history…are doomed to watch Larry David repeat it.”
In addition to David, the series features familiar features Curb your enthusiasm Noteworthy actors and guest stars. Jerry Seinfeld, Susie Essman, Jon Hamm, Isla Fisher, and Jane Krakowski are just some of the many stars who can be seen in the trailer; Watch below.
Larry’s Life and the Pursuit of Unhappiness: An American History Almost It is written and produced by David and co-writer Schaffer, who also serves as director.
