Mortal Kombat II It caused a few deaths as new footage debuted at CinemaCon on Tuesday.

This brutal video game adaptation brings Karl Urban to the series as fan-favorite character Johnny Cage – a ’90s action star summoned to become Earth’s Champion in a deadly tournament.

That tournament was the focus of the scene shown in Las Vegas, where Johnny Cage talked about a big match against the mutant Baraka and tried to convince him to fight Liu Kang from Lodi Lane. However, his fast talking backfires when he is summoned to participate in the fight instead due to the inconvenience he has caused.

Cage then starts panicking, stuttering, saying, “I’m just a fucking actor” and “I have businessmen who do this shit for me.” He strikes out, saying, “I’m going to die,” which his opponent confirms as he asks to save his face. But encouraged by his friends, “You’re an actor, so act,” he — literally — springs into action, showing off his martial arts skills and flying some flips, followed by a kick to Baraka’s private parts.

The feature will unlock on May 8.
