JB Smoove signs unwritten, first-look deal at Fox

Fox Entertainment Studios and actor and comedian JB Smoove will begin working together.

the Curb your enthusiasm The star and his company Alternate Side Productions have signed an unwritten, first-look deal with Fox Entertainment Studios. Under the multi-year agreement, Smoove and Alternative Side will develop and produce unscripted projects across a range of formats and genres.

Rick Dorfman and Miles Gross of Smoove and Alternative Side will serve as executive producers on all projects created under the deal.

“JB brings an unmistakable comedic voice and a spontaneous, spunky energy that makes him a natural fit for the unscripted genre,” said Allison Wallach, president of unscripted programming at Fox Entertainment Studios. “Together with Rick, Miles and the team at Alternate Side Productions, JB has a keen eye for original concepts and the ability to connect with audiences in a way that feels fresh, energetic and highly entertaining. We’re excited to build a slate that takes full advantage of this original perspective.”
