During recent promotions for the horror comedy, he shot down delay rumors and confirmed the long-awaited sequel is happening.

In an interview with the same magazine, Paresh described working with Akshay and Priyadarshan in Bhooth Bangla as easy, thanks to their lack of ego. He said, “Insecurity kisi ki nahi hai; Akshay (Kumar), itna bada star hone ke baad bhi, insecurity nahi hai. Koi meri peeth mein chura maar dega, aisa kisi ko nahi lagta hai. Araam se kaam hota hai and honestly. And all the actors under Priyan ji’s (Priyadarshan) guidance and direction are very generous and charitable towards each other.”

Hera Pheri legacy
The original ‘Hera Pheri’ was released in 2000 and stars Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal in the lead roles. Its sequel, “Phir Hera Pheri”, was released in 2006. The third installment, directed by Priyadarshan, is now in production, with the popular trio returning for its parts.
