‘He almost slapped me’: When Twinkle Khanna recalls Aamir Khan’s wild reaction to Akshay Kumar on the sets of ‘Mela’
An old dialogue between Aamir Khan and Twinkle Khanna from the sets of ‘Mela’ has resurfaced online. Twinkle recalled that Aamir once got upset when she seemed distracted during the shoot. When he asked her why she was not focusing on work, she told him that she was thinking about Akshay Kumar.
She said that Amer almost slapped her after hearing the answer. The moment came years later at the launch of Twinkle’s book “Mrs. Fanny Bones.”According to News18, the conversation took place at an event in 2015, where director Karan Johar asked Aamir about working with Twinkle in the film ‘Mela’. Twinkle interjected before Aamir could answer and share memories on the sets. The actors worked together on the 2000 film, which remains their only film collaboration.

Twinkle recalled that Aamir questioned her lack of concentration while shooting outdoors. “I am thinking of Akshay,” she said. Then she added that Amer “almost slapped me.”Amer seemed surprised by this claim and asked: Am I?
