'Gundam' live-action update: Sidney Sweeney, Jason Isaacs, Noah Centineo and more confirmed to star in the project

Hollywood is gearing up for a live-action Gundam movie, with Euphoria star Sidney Sweeney confirmed to star in it. She will be joined by “Harry Potter” actors Jason Isaacs and Noah Centineo. The film promises epic battles and high-stakes drama, and explores the fate of humanity in a post-apocalyptic world. This adaptation brings the popular mecha anime to a new audience.

“Gundam” is a popular military science fiction anime series created by Yoshiyuki Tomino. The anime takes place in a post-apocalyptic world, about giant robots piloted by pilots and war and action scenarios.

According to the latest reports, a live-action movie is in development, and it has been confirmed that “Euphoria” fame Sidney Sweeney will play one of the lead roles in the film.

Sydney Sweeney is joining the cast of Gundam in the live-action film

Netflix has confirmed that popular actress Sydney Sweeney will play a role in the upcoming live action of the popular anime “Gundam”. Along with Sweeney, “Harry Potter” star Jason Isaacs, known for playing Lucius Malfoy, will also join the cast. Noah Centineo from To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before has also been confirmed as one of the main cast members. Other cast members include Jackson White, Shioli Kutsuna, Nonso Anozie, Michael Mando, Javon “Wanna” Walton, Oleksandr Rudinsky, Ida Brock, and Gemma Chua Tran.The official trailer for the upcoming OTT film says: “As shifting loyalties and a growing threat put them on a collision course with each other. They are pulled into a high-stakes race across the stars that could determine the fate of humanity. With stunning battles, intimate human emotions, and an epic cinematic scale, this is Gundam as we’ve seen it before.”

The original anime was released in 1979 and was titled “Mobile Suits Gundam”. Created by Yoshiyuki Tomino, the series is known as a pioneering anime series in the mecha genre. The story revolves around giant robots controlled by humans and takes place in a post-apocalyptic world. The franchise includes series, films, games, and manga.On the work front, Sidney Sweeney last appeared in The Housemaid and Euphoria, while Centineo last appeared in XO Kitty, reprising his role from To All The Boys I’ve Loved.
