Reznick recently sat down at this year’s American Music Awards with PEOPLE to take a look back at some of the most memorable moments from his career. This also included his collaboration with the “Opalite” singer in 2011, when the two performed together on her “Speak Now” tour.At the time, the “Slide” singer revealed that he saw something in Swift around the time he started liking her.
Adding more context, he said: “What I liked, because at the time she was still so young, I expected a group of therapists to come and deal with me because I was a guest, but she did. I just remember thinking, ‘This woman has it together.'” At the time, Swift was only 21 years old.

According to the singer, the Goo Goo Dolls’ song, “Iris” was released in connection with the movie City of Angels, however, even after the movie “faded away,” the song continued to be popular, and became one of their most popular songs.
Years later, he and Swift shared the stage during her tour and performed a version of “Iris” together.Speaking about the impact of the song and performing it with Swift, he said: “I think she connected more after that. And then I got to sing with Taylor Swift, and then all these other people started covering it.”During the interview, he was asked if he would consider performing at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s upcoming wedding. The singer expressed his congratulations to the couple, then continued that if he was contacted about the matter, he would love to do so.
