After joining Sabrina Carpenter during the pop star’s headlining concert at Coachella, Geena Davis set for another night in the spotlight by joining the amfAR Cannes gala as hostess.
Davis will share the stage with previously announced performers Robbie Williams, Zara Larsson and Pink Panthers at the iconic Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc on May 21. The attractive fundraiser, which supports the organisation’s biomedical research programme, always comes at the end of the Cannes Film Festival.
“We couldn’t be more excited and grateful to have Geena Davis back at the amfAR Gala in Cannes after all these years, alongside a stellar cast of dynamic artists. Having such a special group of incredibly talented artists supporting our mission is a true honor,” said Kyle Clifford, amfAR CEO.
The black-tie gala will once again include a live auction of luxury goods, rare experiences and artworks led by renowned auctioneer Simone de Pury, as well as a fashion show curated by Carine Roitfeld, a longtime supporter and fashion insider. Designers confirmed to appear on the runway include Acne Studios, Alaïa, Dolce & Gabbana for men, Dolce & Gabbana for women, Dsquared2, GCDS, Harris Reed, Jacquemus, Jitrois Paris, Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu, Nina Ricci, Prada, the Attico, Tom Ford, Vivienne Westwood, Willy Chavarria and YSL.
Chairs for the 2026 gala include Pedro Almodóvar, Pamela Anderson, Patricia Arquette, Angela Bassett, Rachel Brosnahan, Olivia Colman, Sofia Carson, Emma D’Arcy, Colman Domingo, T. Ryan Greenwalt, Elizabeth Hurley, Scarlett Johansson, Heidi Klum, Eva Longoria, Kevin McClatchy, Demi Moore, Finn Roberti, Coco. The amfAR gala in Cannes dates back to 1993, when it was hosted by Elizabeth Taylor, who was the international founding president, at the luxurious Moulin des Mougins hotel. Since then, the fundraising campaign has raised $314 million to support the organization and its efforts to combat AIDS.
