“Four Minus Three,” about family, tears, clowns and hope, which won the Berlinale, is sold in France, Canada and Australia

A very emotional film by Austrian director Adrian Goeginger Four minus three (Ver minus dr), based on a true story filled with the tears and smiles of a clown, was sold in key territories and was a box office success in Austria.

Valerie Bachner (Stories, Fantastic beasts, Egon Shelley: Death and the Virgin, Hidden life(The Movie Stars, written by Senad Halilbasic)The pinnacle of paganism) from the best-selling book of the same name by Barbara Pachel-Eberhart, in which she shares how she overcame the death of her husband, portrayed by Robert (Goebbels and the Fuhrer, Summer Storm, Crazy) and two children in a tragic car accident. The couple worked as hospital clowns. Hanno Koffler (Never look away, Babylon Berlin) and Stephanie Rensburger (Other people’s money) are also part of the cast.

Four minus three It is an Austrian-German co-production, produced by 2010 Entertainment and Giganten Film in cooperation with ORF-FFA, BR, SWR and Arte. Written by Senad Halilbašić (7500, souls, the pinnacle of paganism), which is based on the true story and best-selling novel by Barbara Pachel-Eberhart.

The film is directed by Guyger (Best of both worlds, The fox) had its world premiere in the Panorama section of the Berlin Film Festival, winning the European Cinema Mark Award and taking second place in the Panorama Audience Award.

Four minus three It was sold to Pyramide for France, Arti for Benelux, A‑Z Films for Canada, Palace Films for Australia and New Zealand, and Swallow Wings for Taiwan. Beta Cinema continues to negotiate deals for additional territories.

Pachner recently won the Best Actress award at the Diagonale Film Festival in Graz, Austria. The film was also nominated in eight categories at today’s Austrian Film Awards, including Best Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Actress and Best Supporting Actor (Stadlober).

In Austria, the film, released by Polyfilm/Alamode, was a theatrical success, with 70,096 admissions and €730,705 ($862,600) at the box office.
