Malayalam actor Dulquer Salmaan has been questioned by customs officials as part of the ongoing investigation into the alleged luxury car smuggling case. According to the latest reports, the actor and director are yet to request the temporary release of the remaining vehicles.Earlier, Dulquer Salmaan appeared before officials on July 1 and was interrogated for about four hours. According to a report by The Hindu, Dulquer is yet to seek provisional release of the remaining vehicles. They are also seeking more information about luxury vehicles linked to the investigation. It is also suggested that the actor may be asked to produce other luxury vehicles in his possession before investigators.

Officials are also said to have questioned the “I’m Game” actor about several luxury cars that are under investigation. He had previously obtained the temporary release of two of the four vehicles seized during the investigation. The investigation is being conducted as part of Operation Nomcor, a national investigation into the alleged smuggling of luxury vehicles.
According to Dulquer’s request, one of the vehicles is a 2004 Land Rover Defender.
The petition says the vehicle was legally cleared through a bill of entry for home consumption provided by the ICRC as consignee.
Dulquer Salmaan raises concerns about publicity
In his petition, Dulquer Salmaan also said that media coverage of the seizure affected his image. “The seizure was announced in the media for private reasons, and the vehicle was photographed as if it were among some other vehicles used for smuggling, carrying drugs, contraband and anti-state activities,” the petition said.
This put the petitioner in a bad position, affecting his reputation.
“Meanwhile, on the work front, Dulquer Salmaan is preparing for the release of “I Am a Game” directed by Nahas Hidayat.

Operation Nomcor is investigating the alleged smuggling of luxury vehicles from Bhutan. According to the investigation, some of the vehicles were reportedly purchased at low auction prices and later sold at much higher prices.
