Ranveer Singh's 'Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge' surpasses 2025's 'Dhurandhar' at Indian and global box office

‘Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge’, directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh in the lead, continues its record-breaking run at the global box office. The film has so far grossed an estimated Rs 1,361.95 crore worldwide. Of the said total, a combined total of Rs 1,011.95 crore is from India and Rs 350 crore is from overseas markets.In comparison, the sequel has now surpassed its predecessor, ‘Dhurandhar’ which had a global gross of Rs 1,307.35 crore with an estimated Hindi collection of Rs 1,007.85 crore and an overseas total of Rs 299.50 crore.

In terms of net collections, the film earned an estimated total of Rs 840.20 crore over its theatrical run, while ‘The Revenge’ earned an estimated net revenue of Rs 846.87 crore.

Interestingly, ‘Dhurandhar 2’ took just 11 days to officially surpass the lifetime collections of the first installment, which took 104 days to reach similar milestones. With the film completing 11 days at the box office, the original film has earned an estimated Rs 381.25 crore nett in India, while the sequel surged ahead by crossing the Rs 300 crore mark in its first weekend and earning an additional Rs 465.62 crore nett by its second weekend at the box office.

The film also achieved record numbers overseas. In North America, the film crossed US$20.80 million within nine days and has since reached a cumulative total of US$22.9 million. Besides the epic numbers, the film also remained in the top five of highest-grossing films at the North American box office, even in its second weekend.The achievement received praise from the ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ team, who wrote in a congratulatory post on its official caption that read: “Congratulations to @AdityaDharFilms and the entire #Dhurandhar2TheRevenge team for breaking #Baahubali2 records 9 years ago and setting new box office standards in India, USA and globally!”

With no major rival releases in sight, trade experts are now focusing on whether ‘Dhurandhar 2’ can challenge the all-time top spot at the Indian box office, including Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’, which currently boasts a collection of Rs 2,070 crore and ‘

Baahubali 2

‘ which currently stands at second place with a global gross of Rs 1,788 crore and ‘Pushpa 2’ stands at third position with revenues of Rs 1,742 crore.
