Ranveer Singh woos wheelchair cricketer Bhima Khunty with his 'humbleness' as 'Dhurandhar 2' heads to Rs 1,700 crore at box office - WATCH

The man of the moment, Ranveer Singh had a huge hit with his film ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’, which broke records at the box office. Besides achieving box office glory, the actor found an admirer in Indian wheelchair cricketer Bhima Khunty, who praised his “humility and simplicity”.

Khunti, who met Singh at the airport, shared a video of their heartfelt interaction that left a lasting impression on him. “Sometimes, life gives you moments that you will never forget… Today was one of those days. I had the opportunity to meet Ranveer Singh. I have met many people in my life, but the simplicity, humility and respect I experienced today was truly something special…” he wrote, holding his hand.

Highlighting the interaction, Bhima said: “Being a star is one thing, but being a really good human being is what makes you a real star.”Khunti concluded his post by saying: “This moment will stay with me forever.”

Besides stopping to greet Khunti, Ranveer also won hearts when he sweetly shook hands with an airport staff. A video clip circulating shows the actor’s security punching his ticket at the airport gate. Upon seeing Ranveer, an airport employee extended his hand to greet him. Ranveer acknowledged the man, shaking his hand, before swooping down his guard to make sure the man didn’t get too close.

Upon his arrival in the city, Ranveer was greeted by paparazzi who cheered him on. The paparazzi, who usually call the actor ‘Daddy’, put a smile on his face when they dubbed him ‘Box Office King!’

Meanwhile, ‘Dhurandhar 2’ continues its strong run at the box office, having crossed Rs 1,055.12 crore in net revenue. The film’s global collections are estimated at Rs 1,671.26 crore, including an Indian gross of Rs 1,263.26 crore and overseas grosses of Rs 408 crore. With the film now touching the Rs 1,700 crore mark, it will be interesting to see if it has what it takes to officially break the box office records of ‘Baabubali 2’ and ‘Pushpa 2’.
