'Dhurandhar 2' OTT release: Ranveer Singh film seals Rs 150-crore deal, here's when and where you can watch it

Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ is gearing up for its OTT debut after its phenomenal success in theatres. According to multiple reports, the film is expected to begin streaming sometime in late May or early June 2026.

It became the first Indian film to cross the Rs 1,000-crore nett mark in India, further cementing its blockbuster status. Given this momentum, the makers are expected to generate maximum theatrical revenues before bringing the film to streaming platforms. The digital rights of ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ have reportedly been acquired by JioHotstar in a deal estimated to be worth around Rs 150 crore, making it one of the most lucrative OTT acquisitions for an Indian film to date. Interestingly, this represents a shift from the previous installment, which premiered on Netflix. The sequel’s move to a different platform signals a change in approach to the digital release. While films usually reach OTT platforms within two to three months of their theatrical release, the timeline for ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ seems a bit extended. The film, which was released in theaters on March 19, 2026, continues to perform strongly at the box office.

It has crossed Rs 1,300 crore at the worldwide box office.

Which aspect of Dhurandhar: The Revenge do you think contributed most to its box office success?

Its continued success is believed to be the main reason behind the delay in the OTT release. ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ has broken several records and continues to woo audiences weeks after its debut. The film has now started slowing down after a month of its release as Akshay Kumar directed Priyadarshan’s ‘Bhooth Bangla’ has hit the screens.
