The Malayalam entertainment world is in shock after the sudden death of 27-year-old former child artist Hari Murali. Known for his roles in films like ‘Rasikan’ and popular TV serials, he was found dead in his home. His friends remember that he had been cheerful lately, even though he had been suffering from depression. His father is theater personality K.U. Murali.

The Malayalam film and television industry is mourning the sudden demise of former child artist Hari Murali. The 27-year-old actor was reportedly found dead at his home in Anwar in Payannur.

Hari Murali was the son of actor K.U. Murali and gained huge appreciation as a child artist in Malayalam cinema and television.

I started my acting career with…Rasikan

Hari Murali started his acting journey at a very young age and made his debut as a child artist in the Malayalam film ‘Rasikan’ in which Dileep played the lead role and was directed by Lal Jose.After that debut, he appeared in several films during his childhood. His filmography includes Annan Thampi, Madambi, Don, Pattanathil Bhootham, Ulakam Chotum Vallippan, among others.Many of these projects were directed by Anwar Rasheed and during that phase of his career, Hari Murali appeared in around 10 to 15 films.

Apart from films, Hari Murali also became known through television serials and over the years, he has appeared in nearly 40 serials.Among them were popular shows like Kayamkulam Kochunni and Kuttichathan. In Kayamkulam Kochunni, he played the role of Kochunni’s son.

Another series called “Rahasim” also contributed to increasing its popularity among viewers.After some time, Hari Murali decided to stay away from acting and chose to focus on his studies and other interests during that period.Years later, he briefly returned to the screen with a small role in the Malayalam film Amar Akbar Anthony.

Last days in Payyannur

According to reports of Malayala Manorama, Hari Murali recently visited his hometown.

A few days before his death, many locals saw him attending a Hum event in Payyannur. Friends recall that he seemed cheerful and energetic during the gathering.Although Payyanur was his native place, Hari Murali and his family had been living in Kochi for many years.He reportedly returned to his hometown after a long time to attend a wedding and meet his relatives, and it was during this visit that the unexpected tragedy occurred.Friends also revealed that he had been going through a rough patch recently. According to them, Hari Murali was suffering from deep depression and had closed all his social media accounts.

Early Life and Family Background

Hari Murali’s father, Payanur Murali, is a theater director and actor and due to this background he spent much of his childhood around theater camps and performance spaces. Family and friends fondly called him “Appoos.”His extended family also has strong connections with the film industry where his relatives include Chidambaram, Ganapathy, Deepak Parambol, Pappu Anwar and Manoj Ko.
