Arjun Sarja starrer ‘Blast’ saw a significant drop in collections on its fifth day in theatres. After posting stronger numbers earlier, the film saw a slowdown as weekday business took effect.According to Sacnilk estimates, the action entertainer has earned Rs 3.60 crore nett in India on the fifth day. The latest figure reflects a 40 percent decline compared to the previous day’s collection of Rs 6 lakh crore.Despite the decline, the film managed to maintain a steady pace during its first week in cinemas.
The India group is moving forward steadily
Including the fifth day’s numbers, ‘Blast’ has now reached Rs 17.55 crore in India net collections. Its total collection in India currently stands at Rs 20.17 crore.The film produced its business on the fifth day with 2,707 screenings in different regions. The Tamil version collected Rs 3 crore on the fifth day. The Telugu version contributed Rs 60 lakh to the overall total.The Tamil occupancy rate reached 35 percent for the day. The night shows witnessed the best audience turnout, with the occupancy rate reaching 45.77 percent. The film “Blast” collected 75 thousand rupees from overseas territories on the fifth day.The film’s overseas gross has now reached Rs 6.30 crore.
Adding to the domestic numbers, its global collection rose to Rs 26.47 crore.State-level collection figures showed Tamil Nadu leading the business with Rs 2 lakh crore. It is followed by Kerala with Rs 1.35 lakh crore.Andhra Pradesh and Telangana added Rs 55 lakh. Karnataka contributed Rs 23 lakh while the remaining districts added smaller numbers.
The Tamil version of “Blast” still dominates
Occupancy trends showed stronger audience response to the Tamil version compared to the Telugu version.
The Tamil version recorded an overall occupancy of 33.19 percent. The Telugu version reported an overall occupancy of 17.28 percent. The evening shows performed slightly better than the remaining slots.‘Blast’ has been directed by Subash K. Raj. The film features Arjun Sarja in the lead role and presents him in an action-focused environment.
