Chloe Fineman writes a heartfelt note

With bittersweet emotions, Chloe Fineman expressed her gratitude for being a part of the beloved show. “After 7 amazing seasons on SNL, I decided it was time for my next chapter. It’s cliche to say this but working on SNL has been the greatest privilege of my life.”

I still can’t really believe I got to be a part of it. “I fell in love with the place the minute I walked in the door,” Fineman wrote in the caption of her post, before adding how she was surrounded by “the best people in the business.”

From working on visual effects (VFX) to sewing costumes at the eleventh hour, Fineman reminisces about the time she made shows and wrote sketches. “Sew a JoJo Siwa costume in 10 hours. Writing a cold open at 2pm on Saturday.

“Finishing the VFX for a video minutes before getting dressed (I don’t know if ‘finishing the VFX’ is the correct technical term but you get the idea),” she shared.Fineman also wrote about the devastating feeling when her drawings were rejected by producers. In hindsight, the artist has now agreed with their decision and claimed that the act titled ‘Lipstick for dogs thicc’ should have been rejected. “You cry uncontrollably when your drawing isn’t chosen.

She storms into the producers’ office to tell them they made the biggest mistake of their lives. You call everyone you know to file a complaint.

“Then you look back a few years later and it was a sketch called ‘Lipstick for Thicc Dogs,'” she continued, “But that’s just the show.”

Concluding the note, Fineman shared, “It’s really hard to leave SNL but this feels like the right time. I’m going to miss it so much. But the people who work there are my family and this place is my home, and I know I’ll never be away.”

And I swear to God, one day, sometime in the future, they’re going to make lipstick for chunky dogs.
