'Bhagam Bhag 2': Raj Shandilya and Paresh Rawal drop hints about the first look

The buzz for ‘Bhagam Bhag 2’ is building with Manoj Bajpayee replacing Govinda. Filmmaker Raj Chandilya’s cryptic post about the song ‘Signal’ gets Paresh Rawal’s ‘AMEN’ song! Reply, with Akshay Kumar also on board. The 2006 classic revolves around three theatrical men involved in a murder case in London. The production faced hurdles due to a contract dispute with Ekta Kapoor, which was later resolved.

Bhagam Bhag Part 2 might be coming sooner than fans think. Discussions about this began last year, and it was later confirmed that a sequel to the 2006 film is indeed being made, but with a change in the cast: Manoj Bajpayee takes over the role played by Govinda. Now new hints about this have surfaced on social media.

Raj ChandelyaAmbiguous post

Director Raj Chandilya, best known for directing Dream Girl and its sequel, took to X on Tuesday to share a cryptic update: “Bas thoda aur intzaar…uske baad saare ‘SIGNAL’ khulne waale hain…” The reference is to Signal, a much-loved song from Bhagam Bhaag, composed by Pritam Chakraborty and performed by Remo Fernandes and Sussanne. Dmello.

Paresh Rawal Reacts to Raj Shandilya’s cryptic post

What added to fans’ excitement was actor Paresh Rawal’s response to the post. He is set to reprise his role in Bhagam Bhag 2, and he reposted it with a simple response: “Amen!” Moreover, Akshay Kumar has also been confirmed to appear in the film.

Legacy of the cult classic

Over the years, ‘Bhagam Bhag’ has reached cult status. Directed by Priyadarshan, the film follows three men from a theater group who travel to London to perform in a play, only to find themselves involved in a high-profile murder case instead.

Rocky road to production

Even before it went into production, ‘Bhagam Bhag 2’ faced some problems. Raj was roped in as director in March this year, but things got complicated due to his existing three-film commitment with producer Ekta Kapoor’s production company. Since he did not obtain a no-objection certificate from her, a breach of contract dispute ensued, with allegations that he signed on for an outside project without returning the amount he was paid to direct her third film.

But by May, the two had made peace, even posting photos together on Instagram.
