Ariana Grande is back at the top of Billboard’s Hot 100 again, as the star’s “Hate That Made You Love Me” gave Grande her No. 10 spot on the chart, the magazine confirmed Monday.
“I Hate That I Made You Love Me” opened with 18.9 million streams along with 70,000 traditional sales for the year. Bulletin boardBeating out summer contender Ella Langley’s song “Choosin’ Texas,” which was looking to regain its position at the top after Drake had owned the top spot for the past two weeks with his song. “I Hate That I Made You Love Me” is the lead single from Grande’s upcoming eighth studio album petal, Which will be released at the end of July. The album follows Grande’s 2024 release eternal sunshine, Which received three Grammy Award nominations.
“Choosin’ Texas” came in at number two this week, followed by “Janice STFU” at number three, Langley’s “Be Her” at number four, and Bruno Mars’ “I Just Might” rounding out the top five for the week.
“Hate that I made you love me” joins Grande’s songs “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait For Your Love),” “Die For You,” “Save Your Tears,” “Positions,” “Rain On Me,” “Stuck With U,” “Seven Rings” and “Thank U, Next” to top the Billboard chart.
Grande is back at the top of the charts just two days after kicking off her much-anticipated Eternal Sunshine Tour in Auckland on Saturday. She is scheduled to come to Los Angeles this weekend for dates at Crypto.com Arena and Kia Forum.
With Grande taking the top spot this week, all eyes are on next week’s Hot 100, where Taylor Swift may compete with her for the top spot on the list. Toy Story 5 “I Knew It, I Knew You” song.
