physical and Incomplete women Creator Annie Weisman is expanding her relationship with Apple TV.
Wiseman signed a first-look deal with the streamer. The multi-year agreement will give Apple the first shot at new series projects that Weisman is developing. It also marks a return to Apple TV for Weisman, who had an overall deal with the outlet several years ago.
The deal comes a few weeks ago Incomplete womenstarring Kerry Washington, Elisabeth Moss and Kate Mara, premieres on Apple TV. The series is based on the novel by Araminta Hall, and deals with a crime that shatters a long-standing friendship between the three main characters. Weisman adapted Hall’s novel and serves as showrunner. It is scheduled to premiere on March 18.
Weizmann also created physical For Apple TV. The critically acclaimed series stars Rose Byrne as a woman who finds her calling in the exercise boom of the 1980s. It ran for three seasons and received two Emmy Award nominations.
Weisman’s credits as a showrunner also include the second season of the Peacock comedy thriller Based on a true story And Fox Almost family. She has also been a writer and producer on Hulu’s Track And ABC surgical and Desperate Housewives. She began her writing career on the Showtime favorite show Dead like me.
Besides her television work, Weisman is also a playwright whose productions include: Be aggressive, stick to pleas, basic Alice and Surf report. She is repped by WME and Gendler Kelly.
