Robert Monique and Teton Ridge Entertainment are adapting the French-Canadian series Le Clan for peacock, Hollywood Reporter I’ve learned. Renamed Stoic Ridgethe modern Western film about “loyalty, betrayal, and the struggle to move on from the past” will be produced in English.
“After years in witness protection, reformed criminal Jacob Morris built a quiet life as a rancher, husband, and father in a small New Mexico town,” the record states. “When his father and brother are released from prison, their worlds collide, forcing him to protect his new family from the family he betrayed.”
Monique will be shown. Other executive producers include Gillian Sher, Jane Gorton, Jay Stodel and Joan Forge. Stoic Ridge It is in development by UCP (Universal Content Productions), a division of Universal Studio Group, and Teton Ridge Entertainment, a studio owned by TWG Global.
Le Clancreated by Joan Arsenault and produced by Productions Casablanca, Phare-Est Media and Avenue Productions, was outstanding in several lesser-known categories. It received Gemeaux Award nominations for cinematography, sound and set design.
Teton Ridge Entertainment recently acquired the film and television rights to Stanley Kramer High back. It also has rights to Lonely dove franchise, as well as the life rights to famous Western actor John Wayne. Teton Ridge Entertainment’s music documentary, Lenny Wilson: Keeping Country Coolpremiered last month on Netflix.
Monique is an Emmy and DGA nominated writer, director, and producer. He created and was showrunner for Starz’s Powerbook IV: Power. He also created A&E’s The cleaner Starring Benjamin Bratt, The Charges Gang related and empire Among his credits.
Stodel is a co-founder of Rosto, whose credits include the comedy Peacock Bust down. The banner recently inked a first look deal with 20th Television, following a prior first look agreement with Blumhouse Television.
