Alia Bhatt’s ‘Alpha’ Decoded: Netizens comment on ‘predictable plot’ and point out plot holes
With the release of Alia Bhatt’s much-awaited spy thriller, ‘Alpha’, fans and netizens alike have been discussing the plot and what they have seen so far. While many celebrated Bhatt’s brand new look, there were many others who criticized several plot holes they noticed in the trailer.
About the trailer “Alpha”.
The show begins with Bhatt’s character and her father, played by Bobby Deol, celebrating her 18th birthday in a hotel. He hands her a key card and says they’ll be celebrating her birthday on her first mission, where they’ll assign her to kill a man in a hotel room. The rest of the clip shows the actress’s fight scenes, along with glimpses of her childhood when her father trained her to be an elite soldier and spy.
There is another pivotal scene where he tattoos the “Alpha” sign on her arm and explains what it means. The trailer ends with Bobby Deol entering the hotel room as his daughter looks on and then shoots a man in the neck.
Netizens are dissecting the ‘Alpha’ trailer.
Once the teaser was shared online, fans and netizens alike dissected the teaser and talked about the theories they have about the film’s plot. Many people have pointed out that a lot of the themes in the trailer seem too predictable, with one popular theory being that Bobby Deol’s character will turn out to be the villain in the end.
One creator dissected the film’s entire plot based on the plot and posted it with the caption, “POV: You’ve seen 6 YRF spy movies, and you can write the 7th with your eyes closed.” In the video, he ends up predicting most of the plot of “Alpha,” stating that Deol will be the real villain, and Bhatt’s character will discover the truth, and set off on a mission to kill him for what he did to her.Not only that, he ends up commenting on how Pathan and Tiger, who are simultaneously played by Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan in the world of espionage, are known at the end of the film as “saving the day”.Many people also commented that there was a big gap in the story and one of its posters. Netizens online have pointed out that while one of the major parts of the show revolves around Alia Bhatt’s character getting an alpha tattoo, the same seems to be missing from many scenes. One person’s comment regarding this reads, “Completely erasing plot elements: The trailer relies heavily on the reveal that Alya’s character has an ‘Alpha’ tattooed on her arm as part of a secret super-soldier program.
Inexplicably, the poster removes this plot-centric vital sign from her skin.
A netizen shared screenshots of inconsistent scenes where tattoos are present and non-existent in some scenes, and cited, “#ClimaxDetail by Dhar!! Missing tattoos in some shots while changing poses in some shots, soft ‘jewellery business’ lighting, and sloppy editing. Many have already described it as a massive box office disaster.”Another social media user posted screenshots from the trailer and shared, “#Alpha Teaser: Not quite convincing yet, Haryanvi accent seems uneven, ‘laugh’ moment doesn’t land, ‘Hhhhh’ sound effect sounds weird, some action scenes feel off, no physical transformation from Alia Bhatt for such a demanding role, small details, big impact.”

Netizens have slammed Alia Bhatt and the trailer of the film ‘Apha’.
Plagiarism Concerns Regarding “Alpha”
Aside from deciphering the plot, many netizens also pointed out that the poster, as well as some pivotal scenes in the trailer, were copied from other popular films.
With the release of the film’s official poster, social media users couldn’t help but make comparisons between ‘Alpha’ and ‘Dune’.Many people tagged the production company and actors and shared side-by-side images of the “Dune” posters and the “Alpha” posters, with one person even commenting, “I bet they used ChatGPT. ‘Hey ChatGPT, replace the actors from this Dune poster with the cast pictures you uploaded.'” Many people also commented that they initially felt like it was a poster for the “Dune” series.

Netizens are talking about plagiarism issues in the poster and trailer of “Alpha”.
Furthermore, the first scene in which Deol and Bhatt’s characters celebrate the latter’s birthday has also been accused of plagiarism. People posted videos of the movie “Alpha” and the 1990 Hollywood film “La Femme Nikita”, pointing out the similarities in the scene.“All these stunts gone in one clip,” one person commented on the topic, while another shared, “What else does Bollywood know? Only two or three films out of a number have original stories, the rest are all copies!”
