A month after the Peddi controversy, Janhvi Kapoor has signed her next film with Pagglait director Umesh Bist, backed by Balaji Motion Pictures and Sikhya Entertainment, and the shoot will take place from October to November. Umesh Bist will also direct Pagglait 2 with Sanya Malhotra. Meanwhile, Janhvi remains mum on the Bedi objection row, which has sparked widespread reactions in the industry.

The film will be produced by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures along with Guneet Monga’s Sikhya Entertainment, and the shooting is expected to begin from October to November this year. Details regarding the story, genre and cast are yet to be revealed.

Meanwhile, Umesh Bist will also take up the directorial duties of Pagglait 2, the sequel to the 2021 Netflix film, and Sanya Malhotra is expected to return as Sandhya, continuing the story from where the first film left off.
