HPBOSE Class 10 Result 2026: Check previous years pass percentage trends
Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education has announced HPBOSE Class 10 Annual Exam Result 2026, hpbose.org. The council announced that 83.87% of students passed the high school diploma exam, which reflects a significant improvement in the state council’s performance compared to the past two years.
The result was officially announced during a press conference held by HPBOSE Chairman Dr. Rajesh Sharma at the Board headquarters in Dharamshala.
The success rate shows a strong improvement
This year’s result figures indicate a steady upward trend in student performance across Himachal Pradesh. According to the board, 93,694 students appeared for the Class 10 board examination conducted across the state.The success rate has increased significantly over the past three years:
- 2024: 74.61%
- 2025: 79.8%
- 2026: 83.87%
An improvement of more than four percentage points over last year indicates stronger academic performance and better overall results in both public and private schools.
Girls still dominate the merit list
Once again, girls emerged as the strongest performers in the HPBOSE Matriculation Examination. Women candidates secured most of the top posts in the provisional merit list released by the council.Of the 45,079 girls who took the exam, 38,449 girls passed the exam. Among boys, 39,701 students succeeded out of 48,097 candidates.The merit list saw students from Kangra, Una, Bilaspur, Hamirpur and Mandi dominating the top positions.
Kangra student tops Himachal Pradesh
Anmol from AVM Higher Secondary School bagged first position in the state by scoring 699 marks out of 700. With an exceptional percentage of 99.86%, she emerged first in the state in the HPBOSE Class 10 2026 examination, turning her school into a party ground soon after the announcement.Three students share second placeThe second place was jointly won by three students, each of whom obtained 698 marks, achieving 99.71%.The students are:
- Abhinav Mehta from Government Higher Secondary School
- Purnima Sharma from Government Girls Higher Secondary School
- Rouhani Dhiman from Government High School
Their performance added to the strong performance shown by government schools in this year’s examinations.
Third place is shared equally between two students
The third place was shared by two candidates who obtained 697 marks, or 99.57%.They include:
- Ashwayka Sharma from Neelam Public Secondary School
- Alisha Thakur from Oxford School
The Board of Directors is planning more stringent anti-fraud measures
HPBOSE Chairman Dr. Rajesh Sharma said that the board is preparing to tighten security screening procedures in the coming years. According to the board, audio and video recording systems are expected to be introduced in examination centers from the next examination cycle onwards.The move aims to enhance monitoring and curb unfair practices during board examinations across the state.
Students can download the provisional mark sheet online
Students can now check and download the provisional scorecards through the official website of Himachal Pradesh School Education Board.The online mark sheet includes:
- Objective signs
- Total scores obtained
- to divide
- Eligibility status
However, the board clarified that the online scorecard is temporary. The original mark sheets and certificates will be distributed later through the concerned schools.
