Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad has started the UP Board Examination 2026 on February 18, 2026. The examination will be held in two shifts – the first period from 8.30 am to 11.45 pm and the second period from 2 pm to 5.15 pm.

The examination will begin on February 18 and end on March 12, 2026. A total of 53,37,778 students have registered for the examination, of which 27,61,696 students are in Class 10 and 25,76,082 students are in Class 12.

Today, Class 10 Hindi papers will be held from 8.30 am to 11.45 am and Class 12 General Hindi papers will be held from 2 pm to 5.15 pm.

The examination will be held in 8,033 examination centres, including 596 government centres, 3,453 government-aided schools, and 3,984 self-financed secondary schools.

1. To curb malpractices, a state-level monitoring committee in Lucknow will monitor the exam.

2. Reserve seats have been arranged for the exam. The spare sets will be kept locked in a secure double-locked cabinet and the answer sheets will bear the Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) logo and UPMSP mark in small format.

3. Examination centers will have a center director, an external center director, and a permanent judge.

4. Two CCTV cameras with audio recorders, routers, digital video recorders and high-speed internet connections have been installed in all rooms in the examination centre, allowing live monitoring through online streaming.

5. 69 mobile teams were formed at the district level and 440 mobile teams were formed. State-level observers have also been appointed for all the 75 districts and 18 divisions to ensure that there is no laxity in the conduct of examinations.

6. 18 districts in the state have been declared sensitive and 222 examination centers have been classified as highly sensitive and 683 are sensitive.

7. Toll-free helpline numbers have been activated – 18001806607 and 18001806608. Monitoring centers have also been set up at Prayagraj headquarters and regional offices in Varanasi, Meerut, Bareilly and Gorakhpur.

8. Complaints can be submitted through social media as well.
