My friend asked me: ‘What do you think of Maa Inti Bangaram?’ How much do you think it will open at?” The exhibitor didn’t hesitate. “Why would anyone watch a heroine film?” If she’s in a big hero film, that’s fine. People know her for her charm. But a heroine-led film? Who would come? Nobody.

ETimes review of “MIB”
ETimes praised the film for offering a refreshing take on the commercial action genre. The review said: “The film may not reinvent the action drama template, but it reshapes it around a female protagonist who is allowed to be vulnerable and formidable. In a genre often driven by bravado, this seems a refreshing choice.”
