It is shocking and heartbreaking news.” He added: “In her personal life, she carried unbearable sadness and lived through many painful experiences.
It is so sad to think of the hardships she endured even though she brought immense joy to millions through her music.
Ilaiyaraaja recalls how she always strived for perfection
Looking back at the many songs they worked on together, Ilaiyaraaja said Janaki never accepted anything less than perfection. He explained that whenever he wanted a certain feeling or expression in a song, she would keep practicing until she got it exactly right. “I always worked hard to achieve the musical expression I wanted in each piece of music,” he said.
