“I got everything I prayed for”: Rapper T.I. announces retirement from music after 12th album “Kill the King”

Famous rapper T.I. announced that he is retiring from music at the age of 45, explaining that he feels capable of achieving everything he ever wanted in his life and career. (Instagram)

Popular rapper T.I., who has been rapping and making music since he was 8 years old, has announced his retirement. Following the release of his 12th and final album, Kill the King, on June 26, the rapper confirmed in a recent interview that he will be stepping away from music completely.

T.I. announces her retirement from music

During one of his recent interviews, the rapper admitted that he has been looking to step back from music for some time now. Not only that, but while speaking with PEOPLE about his decision, the rapper said that he has been living this way for a while, and that he simply loves being at home.He further added, “I was kind of used to being at home and being around, and I didn’t want to do much, for lack of a better word or work.”

While talking about his latest album, T.I. said that he owes a lot to his fans and the world who were the reason behind his fame and success. He added: “I don’t think I could suddenly disappear and no one know why I never put anything out.” [again]. So I think you have to have a project and I say, man, this is the project.

T.I. reveals the real reason behind the title of his latest album “Kill the King”

The rapper also explained why he named his latest album “Kill the King,” stating that it came from a phrase that rapper Big Boi once said to him.

He shared during the interview that when he started making music, he talked to a lot of really well-known rappers. While many of them gave him all kinds of advice, it was Big Boy’s words that stuck with him all these years.“Big Boy said, ‘Just understand that you’re going to put a bullseye on your back,'” he added. “You’ll put a bullseye on your back and no one will be looking to do you any favors.”

He said: Chess is the game of life. Chess is king killing. And at that moment, I knew this would be the title of my last album.He also commented that he feels he got everything he felt he could get from his career, and is now looking forward to supporting his sons, Damani and King. “I still enjoy recording and performing, but I think maybe because my kids and stuff are getting a lot older and getting into this business, I feel like I’ve gotten everything I prayed for out of the game,” he added.TI has been making music since he was 8 years old, and started selling his own mixtapes at the age of 15. In 2001, after officially signing with a music label, he released his first album, I’m Serious.
