The bitter public battle between Candace Owens and the leaders at Turning Point USA has taken another sharp turn. On July 10, Owens responded to TPUSA spokesman Andrew Colvet after he posted a satirical message on X that compared conspiracy theories to claims that Jesus’ resurrection involved a body double and that Mary was part of a murder plot.
Owens called the comparison “positive blasphemy” and accused Colvet of misusing Christian beliefs to defend Erica Kirk, the widow of the late TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk. The latest clash comes as court proceedings continue against Tyler Robinson, the man accused of killing Charlie Kirk during a September 2025 TPUSA event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. Prosecutors presented video evidence, DNA results and statements allegedly linked to Robinson, while his defense team challenged parts of the forensic case.
So far, court filings have not supported the broader theories promoted by Owens.
