Emirates Airlines launches Airbus A380 flights between Dubai and Delhi starting in October.
Emirates will begin operating its flagship Airbus A380 aircraft on the Dubai-Delhi route from October 25, making Delhi the third Indian city to receive regular flights with the carrier’s double-decker aircraft.The airline said the A380 will replace one of its daily flights between Dubai and Delhi and will feature a four-class cabin, including premium economy class. The remaining three daily flights on this route will continue to be operated using modified four-class Boeing 777 aircraft.With the addition of Delhi, Emirates’ A380 service in India will expand beyond Mumbai and Bengaluru, reflecting growing passenger demand for flights between India and Dubai.Announcing the expansion, Adnan Kazim, Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of Emirates Airlines, said that this step demonstrates the carrier’s continued commitment to the Indian market. He added that the company is also working to increase the availability of its premium economy cabin across the country to give travelers more options.Starting from the end of October, Premium Economy Class will be available on Emirates flights serving six Indian cities: Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Kolkata and Kochi.
According to the airline, nearly half of its weekly scheduled flights to India will offer premium economy class by the end of October. Emirates also said it plans to make additional service improvements as part of its ongoing investments in the Indian market.
