A candidate has scored 100 per cent in four out of five selected subjects in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) 2026, the results of which were announced by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Tuesday.

The agency said that a total of 22 candidates obtained 100 percentage points in three of their chosen subjects, while 180 candidates obtained 100 percentage points in two subjects.
She added that as many as 3,214 candidates scored 100% in one subject.

“One candidate achieved 100 percentile in four out of five selected subjects in CUET-UG 2026, registering the best performance in the exam,” NTA said in a statement.
The testing agency has also released a gender-wise list of top 10 candidates with the highest NTA scores in five subjects.
The first female candidate received a score of 1232.19, which is slightly higher than the highest score for males, which is 1230.82. The second and third scores among female candidates were 1203.78 and 1202.15, respectively, while the corresponding male scores were 1207.21 and 1205.96, respectively.
According to the NTA, a total of 15,68,867 unique candidates registered for the exam, of which 11,64,098 appeared.
Of those registered this year, 7,94,257 were male, 7,74,607 were female, and three candidates were of the third gender. Of those who appeared, 5,78,500 were male, 5,85,596 were female, and two candidates were of the third gender.
The category-wise data showed that 6,86,419 General Category candidates, 5,28,838 OBC (non-creamy layer) candidates, 1,71,397 Scheduled Castes (SC) candidates, 95,464 Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates and 86,749 Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates had registered for the exam.
“NTA conducted the Common Undergraduate Entrance Test (UG)-2026 in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode for 15,68,867 unique registered candidates,” the agency said in a press release.
The CUET-UG 2026 exam was conducted in 321 test cities, including 13 outside India, and offered candidates 37 subjects, including 13 languages, 23 domain-specific subjects and one general aptitude test, the agency said.
“In total, 37 subjects (13 languages, 23 domain-specific subjects and one general aptitude test) have been offered to candidates in CUET (UG)-2026. Candidates can choose a maximum of five subjects.”
The examination was conducted from May 11 to May 31 and from June 6 to June 7 in CBT mode for admission to the 2026-27 academic session.
“The score is prepared based on the final answer keys which have been checked by subject experts,” she said.
She also said that the timeline for announcing the result was shortened this year.
“The timeline for announcing results has been greatly simplified, allowing results to be announced within 16 days of the end of the exam, which represents a decrease of 14 days compared to the previous cycle,” the statement said.
Candidates can check and download their results using their application number and password on the official website.
“Students can access their scorecard by logging in via the official CUET website using their credentials,” NTA said.
The Common Undergraduate University Entrance Test, or CUET-UG, is a nationally standardized entrance test conducted by the NTA for admission to bachelor’s degree programs across central and state universities and selected private universities.
