Led by Robert Pattinson, “The Batman Part II” added several new faces to the cast, including Sebastian Stan, Brian Tyree Henry, Scarlett Johansson, Charles Dance and Sebastian Koch.
While director Matt Reeves announced the casting for X with fun GIFs, he didn’t reveal what roles each actor would play. Until now, it was widely assumed that Stan would play Harvey Dent, also known as Two-Face. But a new report suggests otherwise.
Who actually plays Sebastian Stan?
According to freelance journalist Jeff Snyder, Stan is not playing Harvey Dent. Instead, that role is said to belong to Brian Tyree Henry. Snyder’s newsletter states that Stan will instead play Victor Zsasz, a serial killer and Batman villain known for keeping a record of his victims by marking his body.
What does this mean for the rest of the cast
Harvey Dent, also known as Two-Face, was previously played by Aaron Eckhart in Christopher Nolan’s “The Dark Knight” trilogy. With Stan out of contention for the role, previous speculation linking Scarlett Johansson to Dent’s wife Gilda, and Charles Dance to Dent’s father, may also need to be reconsidered.
The new report also reveals that the film will include the story of the Court of Owls, a secret society of Gotham aristocrats who have controlled the city for centuries, adding another key element to the sequel’s story.

Speaking at the Cannes Film Festival last month, Stan told Deadline that he was playing “Many roles” In the Batman sequel, adding, “I’m excited, I’m nervous and I’m constantly trying to surprise myself.”
