Love Island in the USA He got off to a fast start with the peacock sightings.
The NBCUniversal-owned streamer says the first three days of Season 8 attracted 824 million viewing minutes, a record for any Peacock original series during that time period. This number is up a solid 74 percent compared to the first three days of last year’s season.
Peacock also says that 23 percent of Love Island Viewings so far this week have come from mobile devices, based on its internal data. This equates to about 190 million minutes of viewing time, with another 634 million minutes or so coming from television screens.
At this pace, Love Island in the USA It’s set to surpass last week’s first week total. According to Nielsen, viewers spent 772 million minutes watching the series in its premiere week in 2025. Nielsen’s streaming ratings only cover TV viewership, and its methodology differs from Peacock’s internal data. However, if the two measurements were close to each other, the start of Season 8 would easily exceed the opening of Season 7.
Season seven of Love Island in the USA It was one of the biggest original streaming series of 2025. Nielsen numbers put the show at 13.46 billion viewing minutes for the year (including time spent on previous seasons), while NBCUniversal’s first-party data showed over 18 billion viewing minutes including all mobile devices.
