The National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested former Trinamool Congress legislator Sukat Molla late on the horror night in connection with an explosion in Bhangar near Kolkata in March this year that left one person dead.
This comes a day after the federal agency searched at least eight locations, including Mola’s residence and hideouts, in South 24 Parganas and North 24 Parganas.

“Mola, the prime suspect and conspirator in the case, was arrested late on Friday night. He has been taken into custody from South 24 Parganas and will be produced in court on Saturday,” an NIA official said.
On Thursday, the National Intelligence Agency arrested one of the accused in the Senor Mola case. He was transporting the dead and wounded in his four-wheel drive car after the explosion. The four persons, including Suket Mola, have been arrested in the case so far.

An official at the National Intelligence Agency said: “The explosion occurred during the manufacture of improvised bombs in a hideout before the House of Representatives elections.”
