Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Tuesday extended his greetings to the people on the occasion of Statehood Day, recalling the sacrifices of people for the separate statehood movement and looking forward to the future.

In a post on X, Chief Murmu celebrated the state’s rich cultural heritage and praised innovation and development over the years.
President Murmu said, “My warm greetings to the people of Telangana on Statehood Day! Telangana is blessed with a rich cultural heritage and hardworking people. The state has made great strides in innovation and development over the years. I wish the people of Telangana continued progress and prosperity.”
Prime Minister Modi also extended his greetings to the people of the state and highlighted Telangana’s creativity and business acumen. Prime Minister Modi said that the central government is committed to cooperating in the development of the state to achieve the goal of ‘Fixit Bharat’.

Prime Minister Modi said: “Greetings to the people of Telangana on the special occasion of Telangana State Day. The people of Telangana are known for their spirit of innovation and adventure. The state is known for its glorious culture and history…a culture of courage and determination. The Central government is committed to supporting the growth trajectory of Telangana to realize our dream of Vixit Bharat. We pray for good health and success of the people of the state.”
Telangana State Day is celebrated every year on June 2. This day commemorates the aspirations and struggles of the Telangana movement for a separate state. After years of protests, negotiations and parliamentary approval, the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act 2014 paved the way for its formation. Hyderabad was designated as the joint capital for a transitional period, while it later became the capital of Telangana. Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) president K Chandrashekar Rao was elected as the state’s first chief minister, after elections in which the party secured a majority.
