After sharing a post on Saturday morning against the “third-rate artists” who pulled out of Donald Trump’s Freedom 250 concert series, the president is sharing his updated thoughts on the event, bluntly saying: “Cancel it.”

Trump made a second Truth Social post about the Freedom 250 event that saw a large number of musical artists pull out of its lineup on Saturday night. There, he instead suggested holding a Make America Great Again march, before also sharing additional thoughts on US District Judge Christopher Cooper’s ruling on Friday that his name should be removed from the Kennedy Center building.

“We should have a huge Make America Great Again rally, with 250 people participating, instead of having expensive singers that no one wants to hear, whose music is boring, and yet they do nothing but complain,” he wrote. “I canceled it, just as I canceled my participation in the failed and unsafe presence at the Kennedy Center, because a very crooked and conflicted federal judge said that I should not be allowed to spend my time and money on making the center great again, in fact, much greater than it was before! And it would also be nice to see a Republican/Democratic union bring it back to life.”

Earlier Saturday, Trump criticized the musical acts exiting the Freedom 250 concert series and suggested he might invite “the guy with a much bigger audience than Elvis,” referring to himself, to take their place with a speech rather than a musical performance.

“I understand that artists are excited about their performance on Wednesday, so I’m thinking of bringing the number one attraction anywhere in the world, the man who has a much larger audience than Elvis in his prime, and does it without a guitar, the man who loves our country more than anyone else, and the man some say is the greatest president in history (GOAT!), Donald J. Trump, to replace these highly paid third-rate people,” he wrote. Artists, give an important speech, and rally the country forward as you have done since you became President!

On Friday, Bret Michaels and The Commodores joined a group of musical talents who announced their exit from the concert series. In a statement on his website, Poison’s lead singer explained that “unfortunately, what was presented to us as a celebration of our country has evolved into something much more divisive than what I agreed to be a part of.”

Young MC, Morris Day and Martina McBride also dropped out of the Freedom 250 concert lineup. It was also announced that Milli Vanilli would join the lineup, but Jodi Rocco, a member of the group, told… news agency On Thursday she was “shocked” to see Milli Vanilli’s name on the list.

Vanilla Ice and Flo Rida are two artists scheduled to perform across the Freedom 250 concert series. The event takes place from June 25 to July 10 on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., as part of the Freedom 250 public-private partnership, which is supported by the Trump administration.
