The cult comedy classic ‘Biwi No. 1’ recently completed 27 years of its release and actor Anil Kapoor marked the occasion with a nostalgic note recalling his memories from the film. Despite appearing in a supporting role, the actor revealed that the project remains very close to his heart even today.
Sharing his thoughts on X (formerly Twitter) Anil Kapoor spoke about the film’s success, his relationship with Salman Khan and the unforgettable moments that happened behind the scenes.

Talking about the experience of working in ‘Biwi No. 1’, Anil Kapoor revealed that the film strengthened his friendship with Salman Khan over the years. “Some movies feel special, even when you make them,” he wrote. “Biwi No. “1” is truly one of those films. A role originally portrayed by Kamal Haasan, which has given me an award-winning season, a stronger friendship with Salman, and Tabu!”The actor also mentioned that his collaboration with Tabu was a huge hit and continues to enjoy love from audiences decades later.
Speaking further about his equation with Tabu, Anil Kapoor added, “Two films together, two blockbuster films, both of which are still living rent-free in people’s hearts even after 27 years… That’s very precious in my books!” The chemistry and comic timing of the actors remains one of the reasons why “Biwi No” is so popular.

Recalling that moment, Anil wrote, “And then there was Sukhwinder Singh, who spontaneously came up with ‘Hai Hai Mirchi’ during the trip.
