The cast of “Emily in Paris” has suffered a huge loss following the sudden death of French actor Pierre Digne. The 69-year-old breathed his last on Monday, May 25, 2026, after being diagnosed with severe amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.

While fans mourned the loss on social media, the show’s cast wrote farewell notes. Here’s a closer look at the cast of “Emily in Paris” as they share heartfelt words in memory of Pierre Digne.

Pierre Digne played Louis de Leon, the father of Nicholas (Cindy’s now ex-boyfriend), and the CEO of JVMA. He shared screens with the cast for three episodes and was prominently featured in seasons three and four. His son, actor Paul Foreman, shared a heartfelt tribute on his Instagram Stories.

“Heartbreaking to hear of Pierre Digne’s passing,” he wrote, before adding: “It was an honor to work with him and see his warmth and talent up close.

The 32-year-old actor posted the message with a black and white photo, and concluded by saying: “Thinking of his family and loved ones. Rest in peace.” Digne’s daughters confirmed his death by making a statement, “It is with deep emotions that we announce the death of Pierre Digne, which occurred on Monday after a sudden and severe case of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis,” according to French outlet TF1.

Aside from “Emily in Paris,” Deny starred in more than 300 episodes of the French series “Demain Nous Appartient,” according to People magazine.
