Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay continues to receive reactions from political leaders and film personalities after coming to power. The latest to speak about the actor-turned-politician is Suresh Gopi, who believes it is too early to evaluate the performance of the new government.Speaking to reporters, the actor and Union minister said that Vijay should be given enough time to prove his abilities as an administrator before facing criticism.As quoted by Hindustan Times, he said: “Let Prime Minister Vijay work. Let him work and prove himself. It will not be right to criticize him before then. People have given him a chance. Let him do good work.”
He welcomes the entry of Vijay’s party into Kerala
During the interaction, Suresh Gopi was also asked about the reports and discussions surrounding the possible expansion of Vijay’s political movement beyond Tamil Nadu.The senior leader made it clear that he had no objection to such a move and welcomed greater political participation. He suggested that any political party should be free to expand its activities wherever it chooses.Replying to the question, he said: “What’s the problem if the Tamil Nadu party that achieved victory in Kerala starts? If he is coming, let him come. Let him come wherever (Kerala) wants, let him start. Let him come wherever (Kerala) wants, let him start.”

Mammootty chose not to comment
Earlier this year, Malayalam superstar Mammootty was also asked about Vijay’s move from films to politics.However, the veteran actor decided not to share his opinion on the matter. During a brief interaction with reporters, Mammootty responded with a smile and chose not to engage in a detailed discussion.He indicated that he was not aware of the matter and politely apologized before moving forward.
