“During our fruitful discussion, the Prime Minister reiterated his vision for Sabka Saat, Sabka Vikas and reiterated that West Bengal’s development remains a top priority for the Central government. I am extremely grateful to him for ensuring all possible assistance, guidance and central support to rescue West Bengal from years of recession and put it firmly on the fast track of economic growth, industrial recovery and youth empowerment,” Adhikari wrote on X after meeting Modi.

He also met Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and other senior leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), including the party’s national president Nitin Nabin.

“Met the newly elected Chief Minister of BJP of West Bengal, @SuvenduWB ji, and extended best wishes to him for his new responsibilities. Under Modi ji’s guidance and your leadership, the West Bengal government will continue to work tirelessly with dedication for the welfare of the people of the state and good governance,” Shah wrote on X.

The BJP swept the state Assembly elections held in April this year, winning 207 of the 294 Assembly seats. The Trinamool Congress (TMC) won 80 seats and was ousted from power after 15 years.
