Samarth Singh, husband of Twisha Sharma, who recently died under mysterious circumstances at her marital home in Bhopal, submitted before the Madhya Pradesh High Court on Friday that he is ready to withdraw his bail application and surrender in the case.

He, however, urged the court to direct the court to consider and decide the bail application on the same day.
The woman in her 30s, originally from Noida in Uttar Pradesh, was found dead on May 12 at her matrimonial home in Bagh-Mughalia area of Bhopal. However, her family claimed foul play and pointed to signs of injury on her body. They claimed that she told them that her husband had assaulted her.
He ordered a second autopsy in the event of death
The Supreme Court ordered a second autopsy on Sharma, ordering it to be conducted by a team of doctors from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, according to Bar & Bench.
Justice Avanendra Kumar Singh explained that the second autopsy will be done in Bhopal, and a special flight will be arranged to bring doctors for the procedure.
The previous autopsy report stated that Twisha Sharma died due to “ante-mortem suspension with a ligature”. She also indicated several minor injuries resulting from the use of sharp force on different parts of her body.
Speaking to news agency PTI, advocate Anurag Shrivastava, representing the family, said they had approached the Supreme Court seeking a second autopsy due to alleged discrepancies in the first autopsy conducted at AIIMS Bhopal.
Two days earlier, Judicial Magistrate First Class Anodita Gupta in Bhopal rejected the family’s request, saying the court’s conscience must be cleared before it ordered a re-post-mortem.
The judge noted that simple procedural errors would not alone force the court to order a second autopsy.
The CBI has ordered a probe into the case
Earlier, the Madhya Pradesh government recommended a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the Twisha Sharma death case and gave its approval for the CBI to take up the probe.
The police registered an FIR under Sections 80(2), 85 and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, along with relevant sections of the Dowry Prohibition Act, against her husband Samarth Singh and Giripala Singh.
