A 22-year-old woman was raped and murdered by a former housemaid in her home in the city of Tartous. Kailash Hills in south Delhi on Wednesday. The accused, 23-year-old Rahul Meena, was arrested and sent to police custody for four days.

Police say the case covers Rajasthan and Delhi and multiple crimes occurred within 24 hours. Mina had earlier worked in the victim’s home and knew the routine and security system of the family.

According to police, Mina Ola allegedly He raped a friend’s wife in Alwar, Rajasthan on Tuesday night. The complainant said that he entered the house while her husband was out and raped her. Officials said Meena and the woman’s husband were linked through gambling activities.

He then fled the area.

Travel to Delhi and make money

Police said Meena left Alwar early on Wednesday morning. He allegedly sold a mobile phone for $10,000, then rented a promising truck $6000 for the driver. Meena did not pay the driver after arriving in Delhi. He used another phone, then turned it off later.

Investigators said he was moving between locations before arriving in south Delhi.

Entry into Kailash Hills House

CCTV footage shows Meena entering the apartment complex at around 6:30 a.m. and the house shortly after. The home had multiple layers of security, including a digital lock and a smart card system.

Police said there was a spare smart card kept outside for the domestic help, and Meena knew its whereabouts. An officer said local staff knew where the key card was kept.

Kailash Hills rape and murder case

Police said Meena entered the third-floor house where the victim, an IIT graduate preparing for civil services, was studying. According to investigators, he demanded money and then attacked her when she refused.

One of the officers said: He is the first He squeezed her throat, then used a charging cord to strangle her and then attacked her. Police said she lost consciousness and was later raped.

“Investigation indicates that the accused raped the victim while she was still unconscious,” a senior officer told PTI.

An autopsy at AIIMS Delhi showed that the victim suffered multiple cuts and bruises. Her face was badly injured and her nose was broken. Doctors also found clear signs indicating that she had been strangled, and a serious injury to her neck, which led to her death.

Medical examinations confirmed that she had also been raped. Doctors said she died due to strangulation after a violent physical and sexual assault, and all samples were kept for further investigation.

Escape from the scene of the accident

Police said Mina remained inside for about 40 minutes. He left home at around 7:15 am, took an auto rickshaw, and went to a hotel in Dwarka.

CCTV showed his movement from the colony to the hotel area. The victim was found by her parents around 8 a.m. She was taken to the hospital and was declared dead.

Arrest from Dwarka Hotel

Police tracked Meena through CCTV and transport records and arrested him from a hotel the same evening. the The hotel manager said: “I remember him. He came to book a room. He told me he was from Alwar and had come to Delhi for some work. He was very calm and nice. He did not seem to have committed such a horrific crime.”

Police said he ordered food and bought clothes online and stayed in the room before he was arrested.

What did he tell the court?

Mina was brought before a judge and sent into police custody for four days.

Later, during interrogation, he said: “Galti Hojay. Main paise ki liye kya. Fingerprint chahiye tha locker kholne ke liye“.

Police said his statements changed several times during interrogation.

Officials said Meena had earlier worked at the victim’s house but was fired due to his habit of borrowing money and gambling debts. The victim’s mobile phone was later recovered from the garden area after the accused disposed of it.
