Deven Bhojani recently spoke about his memories with superstar Shah Rukh Khan. He shared that at the beginning of their association, he was affected by widespread rumors describing SRK as arrogant and temperamental, which once made him hesitate to even greet the actor on the sets.
He talked about his experience cooperating with Shah Rukh Khan. Before ‘Dunki’, they had previously worked together in the 1994 film ‘Jaadu’, which was eventually released as ‘Yeh Lamhe Judaai Ke’ in 2004.

During a conversation with SCREEN, Bhojani revisited his first meeting with Shah Rukh Khan, admitting that he initially felt hesitant to approach his ‘Dunki’ co-star due to the numerous rumors surrounding the star.
However, Khan quickly dispelled those perceptions by doing his best on set to make Devin feel appreciated and important. Recalling his experience working with the actor, Devin said, “Years ago, I did another film with Shah Rukh Khan.
After Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, I did 20-25 films where I played the hero’s friend. There was one film where I played Shah Rukh’s friend. I don’t know if this movie has been released or has been postponed. At that time, I heard that SRK was very arrogant, had tantrums, and spoke very rudely. It was my first day in the group…”

“Since I was new, I introduced myself to everyone. But I kept wondering whether I should go and talk to SRK or not.
I hesitated thinking what if he insulted me. I was learning my lines in the corner, and someone patted me from behind. It was him, he introduced himself and praised my work in Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, and that’s when all the rumors about him were exposed. He added, “Shah Rukh Khan was very humble and told me that he had seen Jo Geeta Wohi Sikander a few days ago with Mansoor, and he liked my work so much that he took my details from Mansoor.”

Bhojani also spoke about his time working with Shah Rukh Khan in ‘Dunki’, describing the star as incredibly kind and welcoming. He stated that it felt as if no time had passed, as if they had simply continued from where they had last worked together. While sharing a moment from the shoot, Devin pointed out that while shooting a scene in a church, SRK suddenly started calling him ‘sir’. When he asked why, Shah Rukh explained that since everyone on the set addressed him that way, he thought he should too.
Shahrukh has a special way of making people feel valued and appreciated, leaving them completely mesmerized by his warmth, Devin added.
