So, it’s like a full circle moment, and very meaningful to me.

Madonna also gave a small lesson in astrology, pointing out that there is currently a new moon in Taurus, which means “we need to work on our communication skills” and “avoid confrontations.”

“So, all things considered for the rest of the month, let’s try to get along, okay?” She said. “And to that point, the great thing about music is that it brings people together, am I right? It’s the one place where people get to put their differences aside, put their pettiness aside, and everyone has a good time together, right?”

“So I’m thrilled to be a part of that healing experience, bringing people together,” she continued, before reciting the chorus from her song “Get Together.”

To top off the impressive surprise performance, they sang a duet called “Like A Prophet.” But not before Madonna made a joke about Carpenter’s height.
