Of all the renovation teams on HGTV, perhaps none are more beloved than Erin and Ben Napier Home Town Fame.

The married Mississippians, who are parents to daughters Helen and Mae, have been changing the lives of their neighbors since their show debuted in January of 2016.

Their success depends as much on their on-screen chemistry as it does their talent for restoring old homes.

But according to a recent rumor, the Napier family is dealing with some marital setbacks behind the scenes.

Erin Napier is addressing the ongoing divorce rumors

Is there any truth to these reports? Can college sweethearts actually move out of Home Town To Splitsville?

Fortunately, we don’t have to wonder, as Erin took to social media to clear the air.

“I can’t believe I have to say this but no, the catchy articles we’re breaking down are not real,” she wrote in an Instagram Story (per Realtor).

“It’s an AI produced in India or something, and it doesn’t even make sense. You’re all smarter than this.”

Erin added a fan request not to spark rumors in front of Napier’s stilettos:

“Please don’t ask this in front of our kids. They don’t understand what fake news on the internet means, and it’s annoying,” she wrote.

The Hometown love story is still going strong

Erin and Ben met when they were students at Jones County Junior College, near Laurel, Mississippi.

They later transferred to the University of Mississippi, and have been inseparable since.

The Napiers married in 2008 and soon began working on restoring old homes.

Their work first caught the attention of regional media, e.g Southern weddings magazine.

HGTV soon came calling, and Erin and Ben have since filmed more than 100 episodes of the series Home Town.

The show also inspired two spin-offs, Original town: Ben Workshop and Capture the main city.

So it looks like the Napier family will continue to beautify their neighborhood for many years to come.

Unfortunately, rumors become part of the territory when they reach the level of notoriety.

Fortunately, Erin and Ben seem content to ignore the haters and focus on what really matters — addressing the housing needs of their Mississippi neighbors, and building their community, one renovation at a time.
