In the midst of awards season, DIRECTV has launched a limited-time promotion (valid through March 17) on its already cost-effective MyNews Genre Pack, perfect for covering live awards shows as well as local, national and international news. Now, the streaming service is getting ahead of the spring break hiatus with another timely offering on the MyKids Genre Pack.
Regularly $19.99 per month, the special offer prices the MyKids package at $14.99 per month. For the first two months, after a five-day free trial. The package includes 10+ popular kids channels (Disney Channel, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, TeenNick and more) plus a subscription to the Disney+ Basic plan[1] ($11.99 per month alone)[2].
For context, early last year, DIRECTV introduced genre packages to its streaming lineup. National and international news channels include CNN, CNN International, FOX News Channel, MSNBC, CNBC, CNBC World, Fox Business, Bloomberg Television, Newsmax, i24 News, C-SPAN, and C-SPAN2.[3].
Other type packages include MyEntertainment ($34.99 per month), MySports ($69.99 per month), and MiEspañol ($34.99 per month). For each package, customers can of course take advantage of a five-day free trial of DIRECTV. On top of these standard genre bundles, the streamer also has three smaller bundles that can be added to the eligible basic bundles: MySports Extra ($12.99 per month), MyHome Team ($19.99 per month), and MyCinema, with a limited-time offer of $0 per month for the first two months when added to MyNews. After the promotion, the package automatically renews monthly at the then-current price (currently $9.99 per month). Restrictions apply.
