Sadie Sandler is ready for a new living situation in the trailer for the Netflix comedy Roommates.

Director Chandler Levack’s film is set to premiere on the streaming service on April 17. Chloe East, Billy Brick, Sarah Sherman, Natasha Lyonne, Nick Kroll, Storm Reed, Martin Herlihy, Josh Segarra, Carol Kane, Janeane Garofalo, and Billie Madison make up the cast.

Roommates The film revolves around Devon (Sandler), a new college student who asks the confident Celeste (East) to be her roommate. This arrangement does not lead to a lack of passive-aggressive tension.

“I was wondering what the process of switching roommates was,” Sandler says in the trailer. “I’m having trouble with boundaries.”

Later, Sandler told her roommate, “I’d appreciate it if you didn’t sit on guys’ faces in my bed.” “That’s a very fair request,” East answers.

Levak (Mile End KicksThe film was directed from a screenplay by Jimmy Foley and Ciara-Jane O’Sullivan. Adam Sandler, who is Sadie Sandler’s father, is producing the project alongside Tim Herlihy.

In an interview with Teen VogueLevack explained that she liked the idea because she didn’t know of many similar films that focused on starting college.

“I really liked that this was a very funny and honest investigation into my first year of college,” she said. [when] “There aren’t a lot of coming-of-age movies about your first year of college. It’s a really, really weird time in your life where you’re leaving your family for the first time, and you’re trying to define yourself outside of everyone you’ve ever known and reinvent yourself, but you’re also terrified and socially awkward and thrust into adulthood,” the director said.
