The claimed range figures for the Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara are rated at up to 440 km for the smaller battery and 543 km for the larger one.

Maruti Suzuki’s first all-electric SUV, the e Vitara, is offered in three variants – Delta, Zeta and Alpha – and measures 4,275mm long, 1,800mm wide and 1,640mm high along with a 2,700mm wheelbase. The empty weight increases gradually from 1,725 kg in the basic version to 1,815 kg in the top model. All versions use a lithium iron phosphate battery pack.

The entry-level model gets a 49 kWh unit, while higher trims feature a larger 61 kWh unit. Claimed range figures are rated at up to 440km for the smaller battery and 543km for the larger one. Performance is delivered by a three-phase permanent magnet AC synchronous motor driving a single-speed two-wheel drive system.

The lower category produces 142 horsepower and 193 Nm of torque, while the upper categories generate 172 horsepower with the same torque. Charging times vary depending on battery size with the smaller pack requiring about 6.5 hours via a 7.4 kW AC supply while the larger pack takes about nine hours. Meanwhile, DC fast charging from 10 to 80 percent in 45 minutes is claimed for both battery options.

The battery warranty is listed for eight years or 1,60,000 km. Suspension hardware consists of MacPherson struts up front and a multi-link setup at the rear – aided by all-wheel disc brakes and an electronic parking brake. The SUV rides on 18-inch alloy wheels with aero trim, and the list of exterior equipment includes LED headlights, sharp daytime running lights, LED taillights, rain-sensing wipers, roof spoiler, shark fin antenna and adaptive grille shutters.

Higher trims add items such as automatic headlights, follow-me-home lighting, and dark green privacy glass. The cabin design features a two-tone look and a 10.1-inch infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity and a 10.25-inch digital display. Storage solutions include multiple cup holders, cooler compartments, and configurable luggage arrangements. Upholstery varies by type with fabric on the lower edges and a combination of fabric and faux leather on the upper trim.
