Gadi Wadi –

The production version of the Mahindra Vision S concept is likely to be launched sometime next year in India and could be less expensive than the Scorpio N.
Derived from the Mahindra Vision S concept, the upcoming compact SUV will be based on an all-new monocoque platform and has been developed to support multiple future models. The road-ready version of the Vision S will likely arrive sometime next year, and for those who can’t wait, we’ve shown you here the renders based on the spy shots.
The Vision S will be part of a product expansion that also includes a Scorpio N-derived pickup and additional SUVs planned over the next few years. The renders come courtesy of SRK Designs and follow a straight-line design with square window borders, chunky wheel arches, a tailgate-mounted spare wheel and thick rear pillars complemented by a relatively thin windshield.
The overall design direction suggests cues from its larger siblings – mainly the Mahindra Scorpio N. Some of the notable features are the round-shaped LED daytime running lights, a prominent grille section with vertical chrome slats and the Twin Peaks logo sitting in the middle, a clamshell-shaped hood and busy bumpers.

Inside, early test models suggest the cabin will be fairly well appointed even in lower trims. Spotted items include a semi-digital instrument display with color information screen and auxiliary handles for rear passengers. Expected amenities can extend to a wide panoramic sunroof, a centrally mounted infotainment touchscreen, cruise control, adjustable headrests for all passengers, a rear center armrest and three-point seatbelts.
From a lineup perspective, the new model is expected to fall between the larger Mahindra Scorpio N and the smaller Mahindra XUV 3XO – bridging the gap in the brand’s SUV portfolio. Its footprint suggests that it should be easier to handle in crowded urban areas than larger off-road vehicles while still offering a commanding stance.

It is expected that the powertrain options for the production version will be shared with the XUV 3XO, where it can benefit from both gasoline and diesel units. Buyers will likely get to choose between manual and automatic gearboxes.
