The family vacation has gone wrong
If you like isolated murder mysteries with family drama, you’ll be thrilled to hear that Mary Kubica’s latest suspense novel, It’s Not Her, has gotten the adaptation treatment. Deadline reports that it has been “picked up by French studio and Narcos producer Lupine Gaumont for development as a TV series.” Kubica also has an extensive backlist worth diving into, my favorite so far being Local Woman Missing.
The Good Morning America Book Club picks a twisty crime novel

Resurrection The president is missing With Halle Berry
In 2020, Variety reported that the adaptation of James Patterson’s thriller The President Is Missing, which he wrote with Bill Clinton, would no longer run on Showtime. Jump forward to 2026, and the project will begin a new life with Halle Berry taking on the role of president of Apple Original Films.
