YouTube is down for more than 2,40,000 users in the US

Alphabet-owned YouTube dropped more than 2,40,000 users in the United States on Tuesday (Feb 17, 2026), according to an outage tracking website Downdetector.com.

Accordingly, as of around 7:59 pm ET (6:29 am IST) there were 2,40,707 incidents of people reporting issues with the social media platform. Downdetectorwhich tracks outages by collating status reports from multiple sources.

YouTube TV has 8,923 issue reports on the website, while Google has 2,694. Google did not immediately respond to a ⁠Reuters Request for comment.
